SHORT STAY APPARTMENT
“From two old buildings, industrial heritage even, we made one building together with ZZDP Architects by placing a glass structure in between. The buildings have 84 short-stay apartments of forty square meters each.
The mini-lofts are intended for single young professionals and expats. I preserved the industrial character by showing the techniques: pipes run in black tubes across the ceiling. The halls were not to feel oppressive and even homely. That is why every front door has our designer Hexagon lamp for Maretti, there is self-designed carpet, the paneling got a lick of luxury paint and we incorporated indirect light in the 3D baseboards. Living begins in the common areas and hallways.”
